Temporary Capital Museum

This building was used as the Gyeongsangnam-do provincial governor’s official residence after it was built in 1926. While Busan was Korea’s provisional capital during the Korean War (1950-1953), the building was used as the president’s residence. When Gyeongsangnam-do provincial government moved to Changwon in 1983, Busan Metropolitan City purchased the building. In 1984, the building became the Provisional Capital Memorial Hall exhibiting various pictures of the Korean War. The building was renovated into the current Provisional Capital Memorial Hall through building restoration work and exhibition room decoration work from 2000. There was made some reinforcement work supplement exhibition materials and remodeling some part of exhibition room from 2008 to 2009. Behind the Provisional Capital Memorial Hall, there is located a theatre. It was used as the residence of the high public prosecutor in chief, but was changed to a space to show the films of the provisional capital times.
In the presidential residents (Busan Gyeongmudae), Mr. and Mrs. President Lee Seung-man and the secretaries used to reside and carry out duties, and received major national guests during the Korean War. The Provisional Capital Memorial Hall intended to preserve the floor layout and atmosphere at the time of the presidential residence. On the first floor, there are 8 rooms including a reception room, a library, a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, the room of testimony and the room of thought, thereby reproducing the provisional capital times. The 2nd floor includes the exhibition room and the recollection room. In the recollection room, there are performed films related to Provisional Capital Busan while the exhibition room display the relics related to the Korean War and the keepsakes of President Lee Seung-man.

The Busan Provisional Capital Government Hall
Location: Bumindong 2 Street ( National Register of Cultural
(No. 41) 1 Building Area 4452 75m2 (B1 2F)




During the colonial of Japanese war period in the South Korea, the Provisional Capital Government Hall, formerly Gyeongsamnam-do. After the Busan District Prosecution Office and Busan Police Department and so on, was used by Korean modern history, social and politics. Busan is the only port and gateway for the transportation and was the center of industry, education, culture, facilities development. The Gyeongnamdo office Jenju transferred to Busan.
The Gyeongnam party (Now Seogu Bumin 2 Ga) there was a Charity Hospital as to provisional office with an area of 8,736 Pyeong as the site selected by Gyeongnam-do Government. The construction began in 1925 until April 25, 1925.
April 25, 1925, the current Gyeongsangnam-do District office work begun. As the provincial government of Gyeongsamnam-do was move to Changwon. September 28, Seoul recovered after the lost of their number one (1) territory. October 27, Seoul until return the first Temporary Capital. The main building was by the counselor's and national assembly office party. At the back of it was the police military joined operation to watch at night and also presidential residence was used. In 1945, the liberation of the U.S. troops was stop the Korean war in Busan . Year 1951, the air force intervention 1.4 Ho again in Busan as the provisional capital. In 1953 July 27, military cease fire agreement was held as the first Provisional Capital until (August 15) as the exact time was used. July 1983, Gyeongnam-do Provisional office moved to Changwon. Until 58, years and 3 months ago, used this building. And after the Busan Prosecutor's Office used it. The police department and the Judicial Department in Kojedong, sold to Dong-A University in 2002.
In the second floor (2F) the red building, the Seogu Renaissance, a western style was transformed. A strong front on the right and left symmetrical level was transformed, and both sides finishing compared first and appraised as the beautiful building completed. Therefore it was the first building intense in 1960. Remodeling this building reduce the level of days work become different.
In 2002, the National Registration And Culture designated and transformed the removal part was restored. The former Gyeongnam, Governor Official Provisional President Hall together our region was left representation in modern construction exploited in the middle era of the Japanese conquered the Korean people. The Korean war provisional was role a long with our country situation still suffered from the pain history was restored in the Historical building. The architectural history value was in cultural properties.

The year 2000, our District prepared a new recreational ground with new vision for the 21 century. We will come to the bigger tournament for women's as a leader for student soccer game. It can be developed through a wholesome that makes a leisure and emotional. Our beloved elementary school, middle school, the girl student soccer games for the District who is initiated this tournament.

Every year from May either June is opened. In 2002 World cup soccer games host phase is concern. Together the player skills enhancement has been developed. Men's soccer is appropriating widely recognized in U.S.A. Germany, China. In North Korea country strong women's filled with soccer skills show to soccer men's that was surprised…

Our country also the female welfare increase for over all young female sports they are well trained. Therefore the District had a greater significance for the girl's leader soccer tournament. Then our District leader's cup girl's student soccer game should be participated.

The Gudeok beolen was full of shout cheering sound in the field with the players. About 2,500 people gathered in Gudeok Stadium as mini soccer was played skillfully. The competition were includes, elementary school. Gudeok, Nambumin, Daesin, Dongsin, Bumin, Songdo, Ami, Toseong, Cheonma, Hwaryang elementary school. And four middle school, Daesin junior school, Busan girls, middle school, Jung-ang girls middle school were opened. Aloysius middle school yearly had a competition tournament.

Each team the prizes and award had given with three (3) categories modification the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, runner-up only between the championships. In mini sport stadium there are (4) teams tournament in the field per game. There was seven (7) peoples will unregistered as a student to be selected is out. This person's are served as an extra player's in the game. The middle schools as a modification of four (4) teams each group league. To determine the winner by selecting the result of an excellent performances of the teams they had received such as; trophy, and prizes certificate was awarded.

Then, look at the referees who did? Our soccer shared members and smart men public employees. As an amateur soccer player for tournament on that day will be willing to be served. A girl player's student game if the scene is calligraphy.

The action of cheerer’s spread out with fun and laughter of the festival are very interested. The abundant and classical cheerer's in every school with different colors of the T-shirt and tools combination was mobilized.

Announcing The Autumn of Gudeokgol Valley.......

On October the residents with Gudeok Culture and Arts Festival is united harmoniously. Had a small concert in the forest, literature, arts, creating, writing and painting events.


The First Day and Night Festival

On the first night festival had a classical sound of music, public culture and concert meeting. With fantastic melody, experience lighting, to get together on late autumn atmosphere festival. In the forest birds and squirrel slept fitfully night and day beneath the resident's town scenery festival opened in the forest as a night view itself.

In the ceramic garden the peoples are standing in a line.today young friend's feel happy in touching and molding the clay. There is a vendor sound under the tiny falls. and you can also heared the sound of the potter's wheel.

As you look around in the Wood And stone Horticulture Center are good. Seogu is the unique in culture arts and festival and also Gudeokgol Culture Arts Festival, are still looking forward together until this day.

The Romantic of Songdo! May It Be Eternal...

In August Songdo beach festival was opened. With abundant bright colors, in the night at the beach the young generation and the music band all together on the stage. Many tourists were joyfully cheered together. When the lights come, the shouting of encouragement and joyful mix music together.

In the lovely night of the festival had opened with the sound of trumpet. At the bottom of the sea had a small boats and large ships cheered with the fire lights. The beautiful night view of the marine stage is unequalled and matchless. The people on the beach joined joyfully to performed of music band opened. Interest and laughter overflow the romantic heart of the white sand on summer scenery itself.

From 1999 admired/sublimated the Songdo, sea festival to 2003, a top popular marine song completed 2005. Busan born singer in memory of Mr. Hyeon-In, the 1st Hyeon_In song festival was opened. In the beautiful coast line there is the shades of the trees, water, the space, of the wide white sand, fresh waters, a water fountain overflowing is a sufficient for a festival to be proud of.
