This place that now we can enjoy the sunlight glittering on the waves to the fullest was the only reservoir for drinking water source in Busan. During the time of 1900 to 1920, when the reservoir was built, Japanese residents were increasing and Busan city was developing as a commercial, industrial port. And as the necessity of water supply came to the forest, a one meter high-dam was built at the valley near Gudeok Tunnel. and a drainage of 20m high 5m wide was constructed. And it is said to have been produced 2000㎡ of water a day by controlling water level. This area was first opened to the public in 1968 Naktong river when it became the water supply source of Busan Metropolitan City. But the area isn't as it used to be. As the open of Gudeok tunnel this area was changed again.
